Budapest – Kodak MAX 400 expired notes
A little look into a late February (28.02.2012.) one-day city trip. Was the second day in the season when it snowed. Was a nice exprerience.
Part one of the trip, shot with expired Kodak MAX 400 film.
Colourful payphone in the streets of old-town
Souvenir shop window in old-town
I disturbed the birds, park near hot waters
Lonesome pigeon, near hot waters
Hot water drops
My trip partner exploring the park, me hiding behind the snow-ful bush
My trip partner still moving forwards, exploring, me sitting near the snow-ful benches
Tree branches
Budapest heroes square
Streets of Budapest

Wow! Great sequence.
Thank you very much!
I used to shoot with expired film too. You’re shots go to show that new effects are still possible in such cases.
Shooting expired film is really fun, you never know what you’ll get at the end and an outcome.
Hello! Thanks for liking my post. I love your work. I have started to work with 35 mm recently and I don’t understand why I haven’t worked with that before. I really like your work. Do you always work with expired film? The shots are amazing…What kind of camera do you use? Rachel
Thank you right back! Very nice to hear that you enjoy my film shots. I find great pleasure in working with 35mm film. I shoot expired film, as well as unexpired. Lately I’ve been more trying out all kinds of expired ones, must admit.
I am currently using Canon 300, as my SLR.
But now I’ve just bought me some Canon 500N, because my 300 really needs to retire. :)
Thank you for the interest and I hope you find loads of fun while shooting and exploring the wonderful world of 35mm film! :)
I’ve tried an expired slide film lately and I really like the effect. It looked washed off and kind of dirty. Interesting…I wish I could find more expired films. You never know how your photo will look like!
Yes, exactly!
Sometimes though the outcome can be a little bit disappointing, in a way. I’ve got rolls where the grain is so crazy, looks like 3200, just all grain and grain, no details whatsoever.
But that is cool too.
Wow some great shots. I love the grain!
Thank you very much! It’s all the power and beauty of film! :)
I So much love the snow! I know it’s a problem to those living with lots of it all the winter… but I still love it! :)
I love it too! In this trip it came a as total surprise. But it all worked out for the best!
